"No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us."
Romans 8: 37
That was the theme for the Young Adults Get-Away for this Year. "More than a conqueror". Indeed, I really enjoyed myself throughout the sessions from beginning till the end. About 48 youths from all over the regions were there. And that was the first time ever! Kudos to Frankie and the rest of the team who made this event a successful one. Yay!! About 7 of us from St. Co were there. Rosty only attended the night session as she had to attend the PCC EGM Meeting. Timothy was the only roses among the thorns. hahah..
YAGA started on Saturday morning at 9am. Followed by Ice breaking Game led by Steve from Bintulu. It's called the Bingo Game. First Session conducted by Frankie himself on the topic of What is Young Adult. The following session was divided into 2. You'll have to choose either "How to choose a life partner" or "Young Adults in the Church". I've decided to choose the first one conducted by Ben Lim (ADYC Chairman). I've listened to this topic from many different speakers and i personally think that this was the best. It opened up my eyes to what really was going on around me lately and i asked myself several times.. what should I do? I've not come to any decision yet but i really need to act fast before winter. God please help me!
Another session conducted by Frankie was "Me versus the secular world". I didn't really get what this topic was all about and i'm still confused. hahaha.. After those sessions, we had our fun time! It's more towards team building. My group lost in the first game.. But we did it for the 2nd and 3rd game. Fun! Fun! Fun!
Rev. Donald (priest from Good Shepherd) was the speaker for the night session. "More than Conquerors" I just love listening to his workshop and his British Slang.. hehe.. The last activity we had that night was "pillow talk" One of my favourite. Girls vs Guys.. Hot topic i tell you. Wish we can have one in the future.
So, we the girls shared a room. Maybe i shouldnt mentioned what we saw when we first step into the room. haha.. i should snap a picture instead. *i need a cam. Smug* We had a good laugh. *not mentioning again why* :p Those who were there would know.. Thanks to Elsa!! :P
The next day, we had our Sunday Service at the hall. Rev. Alfred gave the service. After service, we had another networking session. Here we get to know everyone's talents and gift. With that, it would be easier for us to contact each other if there is anything we need. We ended Yaga with group photos. Can't wait to get our pictures from Kevin. He is a really good dedicated photographer.
Overall, it was a really good experience. Enjoyed myself to the max and i wish to have more get-away in the future. Till then. God Bless.
