July Happenings.

It's Friday again! The best day of the working days. Without realizing it, it's almost the fourth week of August. Time really flies so fast (like superman).. hehe.. Lots of things happened for the past few weeks. Youth Sunday Service on the 26th of July. Successful event. This year was different from previous years. We had our own service especially for the youths. The publicity and multimedia team had their first edition of the AYC newsletter!! Well, too bad it's not colored. I wish we could have more of that with the support from parents and the elders in the future. The dedicated committees really did a great job. I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their hard work and support. (lain kali buat lagi..=p) And as an appreciation for their hard work, we had BBQ at Taman Selera. I can't even remember when was the last time i had BBQ at the beach. Nice sunny weather, yummy food, funny cool people around just makes the day perfect. I believed everyone had a great time.

A week later, we had an evening with Trevor Jalla and the Country Road Band. The "we" are myself, sharon's friends, sharon and my cousins. Trevor is a very talented young man in music. Blues, jazz, gospel, folk and soul. You name it. He is currently based in Perth, Australia with his wife and daughter. Travelled and performed around US, Singapore, Australia and Malaysia. This concert was a fundraising concert for the Sunflower centre. The Sunflower kids in their sunflower custome, did their own dancing presentation. They are all so adorable. The event didnt end with just the performance from Trevor and the Country Road Band, Datuk Idris Jalla was also there.. singing. impromptu. All i have to say is, "it's all in their gen" Datuk Idris sang some song which says "Hari ini panas, esok akan hujan..." True enough it rain the next day but only for a short while. Amen!
