It has been a while since i last jot down something on here. Been occupied with activities, events after event, "me time", family time and everything. So since i'm feeling terribly sleepy at work, i decided to share what has been going on in my month of February. It's a pretty occupied month for me. Not that i'm complaining and all instead i enjoyed all the activities after activities thing. It keeps my spirit awake and not feel demotivated.
Me and dad went for Bishop Bolly's installation as the 4th Archbishop Province of South East Asia somewhere in the begining of February. I get to spend 3 days with grandma. Going home this time felt rather different. I used to see my old man sitting on his lazy chair taking his nap or he could be sitting at the dining table having his milk. But now, it's only a sweet memory. Since i'm in Kuching for only a few days, I took the opportunity to visit my 6 month old cousin, Angela. Isnt she adorable?
Later in the evening, we had BBQ and Steamboat with the rest of the families.
On Sunday, we attended the 6.45am service at the Cathedral. Can you imagine how early i have to wake up? Thought that the church would be packed if we were late but it wasnt. After Service, we had our breakfast with my Uncle Gawlyn and his family and later on Checking-in at Merdeka Palace's Apartment with Grandma and Aunty Julia. It would be easier for me and dad to attend the Installation Service and thereafter the Celebration Dinner at Pullman Hotel. It was indeed a good experience, attending and witnessing this kind of occasion.
Here are some pictures captured at the gallery during the Service. What a nice view.
That is basically what happened during my trip in Kuching. The following week, the AYC committee had its Annual Retreat. Uncle Hollis and Aunty Irene generously offered their Lodge and sponsored the dinner that evening. It was indeed a refreshing retreat, awesome location with great people (MASCM) helping out.
This year, I celebrated Valentine's Day with my family. We had our dinner at Beach Republic.
On February 18th, we had our 1st Fellowship. This will be an on-going activities which will be every 3rd Saturday of the month. It was a good start with only 20 teens. I pray that more youth would wanna join this fellowship in the future to know and learn more about God together but not just for the sake to increase in numbers or because of being force to come. The young adult has also started the "Bible for Dummies" session, led by Brother Frankie. I have to admit that is this the FIRST bible study i've attended. I've tried joining one before but i dont really feel comfortable with that group. They are too advance for me. haha.. So far, i really enjoyed the session. The way it was conducted, the way everyone get involved in the discussion, how it relates to our lives and especially the presence of Archdeacon to feed us with extra information related in the Bible and also his advice to us on the topic.
Today, is the 29th February. Special day for those who are born on this date. They get to celebrate their birthday today and It's one in a four years thing.
So, i guess that was it. Will share more updates in the next month. Till then.
